Some more pages from my picto-memoir. We're in 1964 and here are some of the British comics I was consuming at the time.

  1. Is it just me or is the art of the past the art of the future?...I love this stuff. Utterly brilliant.

  2. Thanks for sharing these! They're great. I've been going through my old surviving comics too and reminiscing, lately. Always good to see the comics "food" that other artists ingested as a child.

  3. It is great to see these, I am looking forward to you getting into the 1970's, As a child it was one of which greatly inspired me... 'Vampire Circus'. I think it was for Hammer Magazine.

  4. There's a long section coming up about the music of the period. I'll be lingering for a long time in 1967-69. My early art has been covered elsewhere so there won't be much of that.

  5. You were very lucky to have been there for that musical revolution, I pity the youth of today....For all the magic of the digital age, analogue had an organic soul..I don't think there will be another lightnin' hopkins!

  6. I once saw a Kolvorok cameo appearance in "Munden's Bar".
How odd it was seeing my tentacled childhood hero right in the middle of an orgy! :)
