View master was a huge part of my childhood! Among the dozen or so sets of discs I had was one of Tarzan, which I was completely fascinated by. It was an adaptation of ERB's original novel, & for an 8-9yr old who's only exposure to the character had been Ron Ely, this brutal version was a revelation. The Magic Robot game too played a lesser part in my youth, I picked it up from the village jumble sale, & I remember being totally amazed by it, & confess, although I'm sure it was perfectly simple, I still have no idea how it worked.Looks like an enthralling project Brian.
I also miss the View-Master. The 3D effect there was much better than what we get in cinemas nowadays...
Brian, if you are publishing this in some form I'd love to see it. What a great way of presenting a memoir. Obviously lots of the objects ring a bell with me too as we are not too far apart in age, and I know Boston as a relation lives on the Skegness road!
Aha . . I wondered what the TV and school drawings you posted a while back where for. This is shaping up nicely.
