I sold a bunch of my books yesterday. It was sad but it's better now.

Just curious - what prompted your decision?
Well, my wife has been saying: "in the event of your death, Brian, what on earth should I do with those old comics of yours? Should I send them to the tip?" She has no knowledge of comics or their value, so I thought I ought to do the responsible thing and do the job of selling them for her. The thing about old comics is that only people who have a burning nostalgia for those comics, and who are old enough and by their great age have accumulated enough disposable wealth, have an interest in buying them. Those people are in their 60s. Soon (like me) they'll be dead. I'd better sell my collection to them while I have a chance.
'Wanda Was a Werewolf'...I love that title. Sheesh, It must be something in the air, a friend of mine recently gave me a bunch of his old comics with similarly morbidly prudent reasoning. I'll be framing the best of them at some point to hang in the studio ....unless the 'grim decorator' has something to say about it.
Have you heard of the Covered blog, where artists do their own versions of comics covers? You could redo some of these covers to contribute!covered.blogspot.com
